One of our must-stops on our road trip down the west coast was Cannon Beach in Oregon. We'd all seen it in movies or tv shows, so after a quick stop in Astoria, we drove down to check out this magical beach for ourselves.
I was so excited when we pulled up that I immediately started running, dropped my shoes in a random location, and proceeded to lose my shoes for the next hour or so. Pictures of this place just do not do this awesome rock justice. The area around the rock is covered in tide pools teeming with life - something you don't get to see on NC beaches - so that was extra special. My only wish is that would could've stayed to watch the sunset. Guess I've got a reason to go back!
